Airport security is now accepting applications for a new Airport Equesttrian Program. Riders must complete an application, pass a background check and attend a one hour training session. The Airport has thousands of acres of remote property that is difficult to patrol by vehicle. Granting permission to horseback riders to use these areas of the airport will provide an extra set of eyes to report suspicious activity and trespassers. Riders will be able to enter remote trails where riders are to monitor the area for suspicous activity, security concerns and aviation safety and report these findings to the Airport Police. Once issued a badge you are permitted to escort up to three guest to ride on scenic equestrian only trails. The Airport Security Office is open Monday - Friday 8a.m.- noon and 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. except holidays
