Approximately 20 miles of horse trails at AJ Jolly Park off of KY USA 27 south of Alexandria, KY. It is a Primitive Day Ride Facility with a shelter house and water spigot. There is also a New Equestrian Campground with Water and Electric hookups, and a 28 Stall Barn, you can do reservations online if you go to campbellcountyky.org to reserve your campsite and stalls, or you can call the Ranger Station @ 859-635-4423. Trails are challenging and there is a creek along the route to water your horse before you head back to camp.
A J Jolly Park Equestrian Campground will open the first weekend in May for the Weekends only until Memorial Day Weekend then it will be opened everyday until Labor Day weekend. There are 12 Campsites with water, electric, fire ring/grill. There is a 28 Stall Horse Barn. You can make your reservations online at campbellcountyky.org or you can call the Ranger Station at Jolly at 859-635-4423 for reservations. When you get there you want to take your trailer to the barn and unload your horses and your hay and then come back to your Campsite, there is a big enough turnaround for big rigs. You can bring your horses over to the Campground to Tack them up and ride out to the trails and when you come back you can untack them and take them back to the barn to bathe them and feed them.
You are Not Permitted to Feed Or Water or Bathe your horse in the Campground.
WELCOME TRAIL RIDERS
Trails are open from April 1 thru the end of November
We ask that all trail riders do not ride if the trail is very wet and muddy conditions exist.
The indentation from the horse hoof has a container effect which holds the water. This will make it harder for the trail to dry out!
If you encounter a muddy spot on the trail please do not go around it, go thru it. Going around will make the spot larger.
If you see anything obstructing the trails, let us know what trail it is on give us some idea what it is, then please contact the trails committee ASAP and we will see that they get cleared.
Thank you for your Cooperation
These trails are maintained by volunteers from the Northern Kentucky Horse Network, Inc. and we ask for your support.
